Community Project Grant Information
Community Project General Information
- JLB Community Project grant amounts vary from year to year.
- A Community Project grant is for non-profit organizations that provide service to the community and is consistent with the purpose of the Junior League of Bakersfield (JLB). JLB’s focus area is Child Welfare, which includes issues related to at-risk, abused and neglected children, child health, and education.
- A Community Project grant must include reasonable opportunities for volunteer service by JLB members, (a JLB chair and committee will be assigned to the Project).
- A Community Project grant may be awarded to an organization only once for the same purpose.
- A Community Project must demonstrate the potential for financial self-sufficiency following JLB’s involvement. JLB projects can be submitted for renewal the following year during the application timelines.
